I'm a big fan of music. I was brought up on many different types and styles of jazz. My wife thinks it sounds like 'cats in a mangle'. I would say musicals are a crime. In the 90s I moved onto 'dance', 'hardcore' and 'rave' (this makes me feel so old). Probably still cats in a mangle, but electronic cats.
So being brought up on music, working without it is odd. It's as if something is missing.
Today I managed to listen to some rather upbeat tracks that my younger colleagues say I'm too old to listen to: Swedish House Mafia and LMFAO. When you're twenty, you must look at forty somethings and think they all revert to Des O'Connor.
Pump up the volume, that's what I say.
