Lessons learned: SSL and Google rankings

In the last few weeks we've notice a boost in our online authority which coincided with a new SSL certificate. Our site doesn't handle transactions, so there isn't a need for one. However, after looking into this further Google has updated its algorithm to boost SSL-encrypted sites in the search results.

It doesn't take long to arrange and now there are more reasons than ever to get it sorted. We arranged ours through Go Daddy.
